Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and exercises following the PT plan of care
• Monitor and document patient progress, celebrating every milestone
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
• Communicate patient status clearly with the supervising PT
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by following infection control and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active state PTA license (or the ability to obtain one)
• Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Physical therapy interventions and treatment techniques
• Patient education and home exercise programs
• Accurate documentation and progress tracking
• Infection control and safety standards
• Collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
