Platform Engineer

What role will you play? We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) Technology and Innovation team. In this role you will manage, automate, enhance and ensure the health and performance of our platforms, including Swimlane SOAR. You will have engineering experience, collaborate broadly across disciplines and help us build a more agile and innovative team. As we review future platform strategy and integrate AI across SIEM, UEBA, and TIP platforms, you will shape engineering strategy and ensure our platforms remain fit for purpose and resilient against evolving cyber threats. What you offer 5‑10 years experience developing, integrating, configuring, and managing platforms, ideally SOAR platforms, monitoring and addressing system performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability challenges. Experience developing and deploying infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management solutions such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible, to automate operational tasks and improve platform reliability. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that integrate security controls and support continuous delivery of detection and response capabilities. Experience administering containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes in production environments. Proficient in at least one scripting/programming language such as Python or Shell. Hands‑on expertise in DevOps, incident management, root cause analysis and production support, preferably working with Linux‑based systems. Ability to plan and deliver to challenging timelines, manage stakeholder expectations (experience working in an Agile environment desirable). Excellent listening and influencing skills, and flexibility to develop strong relationships with a complex set of global stakeholders (from users and analysts to vendors).
