Data Scientist for AI Model Training

Apply data science expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through rigorous content review, prompt development, model evaluation, and data-quality work. This remote, part-time contract role is designed for specialists who produce or review research papers, analytical reports, technical documentation, experiment summaries, or data-driven recommendations. Prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and refine AI-generated content and data outputs for accuracy, clarity, and relevance using domain knowledge and project-specific rubrics.
• Develop and improve prompts that guide AI models toward desired results.
• Evaluate AI model performance using rubrics, providing structured feedback and improvement recommendations.
• Conduct independent research to validate facts, improve data quality, and support content evaluation.
• Annotate data, fact-check outputs, and uphold analytical and quality-assurance standards.
• Interpret complex datasets and findings, producing clear, actionable reports and technical summaries.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and other domain experts to share insights and best practices.

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, applied AI, statistics, quantitative analytics, or data analytics.
• Experience producing or reviewing research papers, analytical reports, experiment summaries, notebooks, or technical documentation.
• Strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking, attention to detail, and written and quantitative communication skills.
• Advanced professional, report-writing, business, or technical communication skills.
• Experience with data annotation, content review, or rubric-based evaluation is highly desirable.
• Prompt engineering, AI output evaluation, fact-checking, or RLHF experience is beneficial but not required.
• A master''s degree, JD, MBA, PhD, or other advanced degree is preferred.

• Remote, part-time independent contractor engagement.

• $100 to $200 per hour.
