Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across PICU, Pediatric, and Adult patient populations
• Perform neuro diagnostics and respiratory assessments as assigned by the unit manager
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled based on departmental needs
• Adhere to holiday coverage requirements, including availability for 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• Complete facility orientation modules as required during the onboarding period
• Be prepared to serve on an Emergency Team and remain at or return to the facility during emergency events as directed by the unit manager

Required Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Compact or Louisiana state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in specialty; new graduates are not eligible
• Must be comfortable working with PICU, Pediatric, and Adult patient populations
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible
• AHA certifications are required
• No call-ins; reliability and attendance are strictly expected
• Any requested time off must be disclosed on profile and raised during the interview process
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience is a plus, though first-time travelers with strong RT experience will be considered
