Education, Licensure, Registration and Experience: Graduate of an approved associate degree program as a COTA Previous Clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred State Licensure as a COTA CPR Certification Essential Functions: Implements the plan of care developed by the Occupational Therapist. Instructs client and caregiver in treatment programs, precautions, and equipment use as necessary and documents client/caregiver demonstration of instructions provided. Documents client status and progression towards achievement of outcomes on each visit in measureable parameters. Submits accurate and complete billing for each patient. Is responsible to work within the guidelines and authorization provided by the individual's insurance coverage, AND/OR Medicare guidelines. Demonstrates dependability/flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department and facility. Consistently strives to be a productive member of the institution and always puts time to good use. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times, as observed by peers and management. Attends monthly staff meetings and participates in monthly rounding process with manager to assure effective and timely two-way communications. Participates in and completes required department specific education and training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job- related hazards.
