Senior Accountant

Our client, a growing medical device company based in Woodbury, NY, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and taking ownership of key accounting functions. The Senior Accountant will play an integral role in the monthly close process while supporting day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, accounts payable, billing, and audit activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong Excel skills. Key Responsibilities Assist with the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations. Process and reconcile vendor invoices and vendor payments. Support customer billing and invoice processing. Review and process employee expense reports. Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for internal and external auditors. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes. Perform additional accounting projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the medical device, manufacturing, or healthcare industry is a plus. Familiarity with ERP accounting systems is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
