Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant / Advisor

Location: Hybrid (Santa Clarita/Sylmar area; 3 days remote). Occasional travel to Boron and Wilmington (1–2 times per month)

Reports To: Controller

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Advisor to join a growing team in a newly created role. This position will play a key role in general ledger accounting and financial operations, supporting a dynamic environment with a strong operational footprint. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise, strong ERP experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Perform account reconciliations across inventory, AP/AR, and fixed assets
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7-9 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, AP/AR, financial reporting, and business processes
• Hands-on ERP experience required; SAP preferred
• Excel proficiency (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting and fixed assets

Preferred:

• CPA certification
• SAP experience
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced or “startup-like” environment
• Strong understanding of GL accounting, inventory, AP/AR, fixed assets, reconciliations
