Physician -Internal Medicine

We are seeking an experienced full-time Staff Physician specializing in Internal Medicine for the Health Equity and Value-Based Care Faculty position at a pioneering Value-Based Care Clinic in Dallas, Texas. The chosen candidate will serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track, providing high-quality, evidence-based, population-centered care and mentoring Internal Medicine residents within a collaborative academic environment focused on health equity, quality improvement, and community-centered medicine. Teaching & Educational Leadership Responsibilities Act as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track. Supervise Internal Medicine residents in a clinic-based experiential learning environment. Deliver real-time clinical teaching covering: Primary care Population health management Principles of value-based care Health equity-oriented practice Educate residents to incorporate: Social determinants of health into clinical practice Community-engaged care methodologies Equity-centered clinical decision-making frameworks Engage in journal clubs, lecture series, case conferences, resident workshops. Mentor residents in quality improvement projects, health equity research initiatives, scholarly activities and projects. Collaborate with residency and program leadership to enhance and align the curriculum with ACGME competencies. Provide both formative and summative feedback to foster residents’ professional development. Direct Patient Care Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive Internal Medicine services within the Value-Based Care Clinic. Employ evidence-based guidelines and value-based care methodologies. Contribute to the establishment and refinement of value-based standard operating procedures for the clinic. Utilize population health analysis tools, risk stratification techniques, and care coordination strategies to improve patient outcomes and mitigate healthcare disparities. Identify and address non-medical social determinants impacting patient care. Provide coordinated, team-based care in collaboration with interdisciplinary colleagues, including: Care managers Pharmacists Social workers Behavioral health specialists Community partners Qualifications Completion of an ACGME or AMA accredited residency program. Board Eligible or Board Certified in the appropriate specialty. Active Texas Medical License, or willingness to obtain one. At least one professional reference within the last 24 months. Clean malpractice and license history. Experience in medical education, health equity, population health, or value-based care. Strong interest in resident education and academic medicine. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care environment. Certification Requirements Board Certification in relevant specialty.
