Why Work Here?

Employees join a stable, long-established organization that has provided manufacturing and packaging solutions for over six decades, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. The culture emphasizes core values of responsiveness, positive attitude, proactive behavior, integrity, dependability, and safety, creating a supportive and inclusive environment where people can thrive. Team members benefit from a comprehensive benefits and retirement package, including a 401(k) program that increases in employer match the longer they stay, as well as structured vacation that starts at two weeks and grows with tenure. The organization offers various incentives such as fitness-related programs and discounts on major purchases and travel, along with regular employee appreciation events like sporting outings, fairs, and holiday celebrations. The maintenance team is known for its strong camaraderie and low turnover, providing a close-knit environment with opportunities to move into other roles and grow within the company.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, day-shift position with typical hours of Monday through Friday, either 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the team averaging around 45 hours per week. Occasional Saturday work may be required to complete specific projects, but this is not the norm. While the plant operates 24 hours a day, six days a week, the maintenance team does not run on a 24/6 schedule. The maintenance department operates as a team of approximately 10 people at full capacity, with mechanics focused heavily on preventive maintenance and technicians handling a significant portion of project work around the plant. The team maintains a friendly, collaborative atmosphere where joking and having fun on the job is encouraged, while still maintaining a professional and safety-focused mindset. The facility produces chemicals for the agricultural industry, so employees must be comfortable working around potentially hazardous materials; when necessary, they use full protective suits and appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure safety. Uniforms are provided and laundered on-site, allowing employees to leave work clothes at the facility, and steel-toed boots and protective eyewear are part of the standard dress and safety requirements.
