The Family Medicine Residency Program at our organization represents a remarkable collaboration between Northwell Health, Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, and Open Door Care Network. This ACGME-accredited program offers a progressive, three-year residency in family medicine, accommodating eight residents annually. With a history spanning 14 years, we have established a strong reputation for producing well-rounded, independent family medicine physicians ready to thrive in diverse healthcare environments.
Open Door Care Network has been dedicated to serving low-income and underserved communities in Westchester and Putnam counties for over four decades. The organization provides high-quality primary healthcare and essential human services at accessible rates. We are currently looking for a Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician to join our team in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruct and oversee residents, medical students, and other personnel.
Act as a mentor and learning advisor.
Deliver exemplary direct patient care.
Engage in faculty development activities.
Develop and execute curriculum, including didactic sessions.
Provide assessments and constructive feedback to residents, students, peers, and staff.
Participate in residency conferences.
Share on-call duties at Open Door.
Contribute to committees related to residency, hospital, and Open Door.
Supervise resident research and scholarly activities.
Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and ranking of potential faculty and residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Board certification in Family Medicine.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency program.
Previous teaching experience is required.
Preferred: Over three years of comprehensive clinical experience in family medicine.
Exceptional skills in providing effective feedback.
Strong active listening abilities.
Adaptable with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated leadership in clinical and administrative settings.
