Work Environment This position is onsite at a state-of-the-art hospital, where you will engage with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent and balanced work-life routine. Key Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans created by licensed Physical Therapists, adapting approaches to meet unique patient needs for optimal rehabilitation outcomes. Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises, focusing on improving strength, balance, and functional mobility necessary for their recovery. Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic heat/cold treatments to enhance patient comfort and accelerate healing processes. Meticulously monitor patient progress, making real-time adjustments to treatment plans where necessary and regularly updating electronic health records (EHR) to ensure accurate clinical documentation. Provide patient education on home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and health management techniques that empower individuals to take charge of their rehabilitation journey. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure seamless integration of care across all departments. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient population comprises a diverse range of individuals, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. As a PTA at PhysioSpace LLC, you will work closely with patients of all ages who are focused on rehabilitation goals. Your role directly impacts their recovery process through tailored physical therapy strategies. Qualifications Must hold an active PTA license in New Jersey. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. 1-2 years of experience working as a PTA is necessary, with a preference for experience in orthopedic or hospital settings. Proficiency in conducting therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and providing effective patient education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing a patient-centered approach crucial for building successful therapeutic relationships. Preferred Experience Experience using electronic health records (EHR) for documentation and tracking patient progress. Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation methodologies is a plus. Previous experience in a hospital environment or outpatient orthopedic practice would be greatly beneficial.
