Pharmacy II TechnicianSentara is hiring a Pharmacy II Technician at Norfolk General Hospital!Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates!Status: Full time (40 hrs/wk)Shift: 8.5 hour Rotating ShiftsHours: Shifts vary between 6am-11pm M-FWeekend: Every other weekend rotationRequired qualifications:Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED1 year Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIREDPharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIREDPreferred qualifications:CSPT PreferredJob responsibilities:Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacistResponsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapyPerforms all functions of Pharmacy Technician I & II positions.Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region's first Magnet Hospital. This is a 525-bed medical center, and home to the area's only Level I Trauma Center, Burn Trauma Unit and Nationally Ranked Heart Program. In addition to a first rate heart program, the hospital is home to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and several dedicated facilities and specialized services.
