Job Title: Point of Care / Mobile Laboratory Technician (LVN, MLT, or CLS)

Compensation & Shift Details:

• Hourly Pay Range: $26.00 – $32.00 / hour.
• Financial Perk: Same-day pay advance options are available (details discussed during the interview process) .
• Vehicle & Travel Note: Role involves operating a designated mobile laboratory van to support high-volume and STAT testing areas. Candidates must pick up and return the company vehicle at the central dispatch hub at the beginning and end of each shift.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Point of Care / Mobile Laboratory Technician performs waived laboratory testing in a remote or mobile field setting. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for specimen processing, conducting point-of-care testing across multiple clinical disciplines, monitoring reagent quality control, and ensuring rapid turn-around times (TAT) for critical STAT orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Operations & Testing:

• Point-of-Care Testing: Perform waived laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular, and Coagulation disciplines.
• Quality Control & Calibration: Check and document Quality Control (QC) prior to running and releasing patient results. Troubleshoot out-of-range controls and escalate improbable results to leadership in real time.
• Specimen Processing & Phlebotomy: Receive specimens from phlebotomists/couriers, perform venipuncture or capillary collections when needed, and log requisitions accurately.
• Data & Inventory Management: Enter patient demographics and test orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Maintain adequate supply inventory and document lot numbers in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• STAT Tracking: Closely monitor the STAT board to consistently achieve target turn-around times.

Mobile Operations & Logistics:

• Safe operation of a mobile lab vehicle to deliver testing capabilities directly to high-demand healthcare settings.
• Routine maintenance and quality verification of automated, portable laboratory instrumentation.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:

Licensure & Education:

• Required Licensure Track: Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) , Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) , or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) [Required — Phlebotomist-only certifications are not eligible for this role] .
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent [Required] .
• Driver's License: Active, valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record [Required] .
• Immunization: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption document [Required] .

Clinical & Technical Skills:

• Demonstrated familiarity with laboratory processes, LIS data entry, and quality control workflows [Required] .
• Previous hands-on experience with phlebotomy and clinical lab testing [Preferred] .
• Strong detail orientation, organizational skills, and precise communication abilities.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Mobile Environment: Ability to work in mobile laboratory settings handling biological materials, blood-borne pathogens, and hazardous substances in strict compliance with safety guidelines.
• Physical Mobility: Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 15 lbs.
• Equipment Handling: Pushing/pulling portable testing equipment (50+ lbs of force using vehicle ramps/pulleys as applicable).
• Visual Acuity: Must possess close vision, depth perception, and no color vision deficiencies .
