HR Specialist

Salary Range: $25.00 - $34.65 Hours: Sunday to Wednesday 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM (open and potentially flexible schedule). Overview The Human Resources Specialist supports the Human Resources and Distribution teams across benefits, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and payroll. The role consults with employees, supervisors, and managers on HR issues and partners with the HR function to deliver value‑added service that aligns with the organization’s objectives. Responsibilities Employee relations counseling and investigations. Committee facilitation and employee communication. Employee development and training (assist and/or conduct). Implementation of HR policies and procedures. Compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and reporting. Support employee safety, wellness, and health programs. Benefit enrollments. New hire onboarding (assist and/or conduct). Managing time and attendance. Participation in developing HR goals, objectives, and processes. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 4‑6 years of progressive Human Resources experience or equivalent education/training. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) – HRCI preferred. General knowledge of employment laws and practices. Ability to maintain high confidentiality. Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Attention to detail, organizational, analytic, and problem‑solving skills. Responsive to staff needs with professionalism, respect, and consideration of others. Flexibility and quick adaptation to change in the work environment. Sound and accurate judgment. Strong conflict‑management skills. Accuracy, thoroughness, and quality monitoring of work. Personal responsibility for commitments and willingness to assist others. Ability to perform highly responsible, complex work independently. Bilingual in Spanish required. The environment is fast‑paced and may include machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
