Radiation Therapist

Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients following physician prescriptions. Responsibilities Operate radiation equipment safely, perform precise technical procedures, and participate in Quality Control monitoring. Assess patients, deliver consistent therapy, and document care accurately in EMR. Educate patients and families on side effects and treatment aids. Ensure safety protocols, including proper patient setup, fall precautions, and radiation safety measures. Simulate new patients and schedule treatments, communicating changes appropriately. Assist with additional tasks, participate in on-call rotations, and supervise RTT and RTR students as a clinical instructor. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited program. All required certifications upon hire: ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy) and BLS. Minimum two years of radiation therapy experience preferred. Ability to treat and simulate patients accurately. Ability to follow safety procedures and work collaboratively in a healthcare setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
