Job Description:

- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to develop and update a collaborative plan of care with patients.
- Provide and direct exceptional nursing care while evaluating outcomes.

- Implement evidence-based tools while following established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Educate patients and their families, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Report actual or potential occurrences in accordance with hospital procedures.
- Engage in self-assessment and peer review, completing mandatory education and competency assessments.
- Take responsibility for ongoing professional development and participate in unit-based performance improvement activities.
- Attend staff meetings and support necessary changes within the unit.
- Act in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization as well as the nursing code of ethics.
- Practice in accordance with Michigan's legal definition of nursing, including delegation and supervision provisions.
- Please note that requests for time off during the assignment must be specified at upload; RTO requests made after will not be approved.

Requirements:


- Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience.
- Must have BLS and ACLS certifications in hand at profile upload - no pending certifications.
- Traveler must possess their own vehicle for this assignment.
- Permanent address must be provided in the profile.
- All requests for time off must be included during submission; no requests will be considered post-offer.

- One Supervisory Signed Reference (from the past two years of employment)
- Active Michigan RN license
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
