Responsibilities Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and mission statement, organizing and supervising care performed by supportive personnel, and coordinating care provided by ancillary services. Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing individualized plans of care. Educate patients, SO, and families about their disease processes and plans of care. Serve as patient advocate and provide care to patients requiring treatment for any medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
