Your impact The Stakeholder Engagement Project Coordinator supports project leadership in the development and execution of strategic stakeholder engagement activities related to the advancement of the design, schedule, phasing, staging, and logistics of a transformative light rail system in New York City. Key responsibilities Lead successful execution of stakeholder engagement strategy, navigating critical decisions as well as the third‑party agreements necessary to move the project forward Manage a project plan that identifies key stakeholder milestones and incorporates special client requests, ensuring timely follow‑up with segment and discipline leads in support of stakeholder engagement Oversee the production of deliverables, including third‑party agreements, as well as supporting materials such as executive briefings, decision memoranda, stakeholder meetings, and client workshops Facilitate internal and external meetings necessary to secure stakeholder approvals and develop associated documentation in support of project needs (e.g., third‑party agreements to accompany procurement documents) Identify creative and innovative solutions based on client, project, and site constraints, and work collaboratively across disciplines to prepare recommendations for positive project outcomes that reflect stakeholder input, feedback, or concerns Manage special assignments and time‑sensitive client‑driven requests related to stakeholder engagement (e.g., briefings with elected) Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field such as Architecture, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or similar Proven and demonstrated project management experience in the successful delivery of infrastructure development projects (public infrastructure preferable, but not required) Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external, including both verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with a multi‑disciplinary team and subject matter experts to deliver projects Preferred qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) License in New York (or ability to apply for reciprocity), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience with New York City agencies such as NYCEDC, NYCDOT, and NYCDEP; private utilities such as ConEdison and National grid; and state entities including the MTA and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Experience in design and task management of public infrastructure, including stakeholder coordination Experience and/or interest in the planning, design, rehabilitation, and/or construction of transportation infrastructure and urban design projects Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Salary The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
