Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Discover an exciting opportunity to impact young learners as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment for the fall semester. This contract role is perfect for a passionate professional eager to support preschool through 5th grade students while collaborating with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team. You’ll work full-time (37.5 hours per week) from August 5th to December 19th, focusing on approximately 40 students across two elementary campuses.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid OTR/L license for practice in California
- Experience in school-based Occupational Therapy services
- Familiarity with evaluation and re-evaluation procedures
- Strong background working with pediatric populations
- Skilled in collaborating with teachers, parents, and related service professionals
- Comfortable participating actively in IEP meetings and documentation
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to thrive independently and adapt in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students in preschool through 5th grade
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations
- Participate as an engaged member of the IEP team, creating and updating plans
- Monitor progress and prepare timely reports for families and staff
- Work closely with educators and staff to integrate OT strategies
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to a collaborative, engaging environment
