Accounting Supervisor

As a member of the Finance / Accounting Team, the Accounting Supervisor is primarily responsible for performing various accounting functions, reconciliation analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks to support the management and other senior members of the team. Job Description: Supervise and develop a team of two accountants. Oversee accrual accounting, balance sheet accounts, and monthly reconciliations. Review month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. Provide guidance, problem resolution, and mentoring to accounting staff. Support preparation of annual audit schedules and respond to external auditor requests. Manage and improve interdepartmental processes related to general ledger accounting. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects as needed. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance. 5+ years of accounting or related experience. 2+ years of supervisory or direct-report management experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, indirect functions, and PivotTables. Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly summarize complex financial matters. Preferred Qualifications CPA, MBA, or equivalent. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in both private and public accounting environments. Demonstrated initiative and ability to proactively resolve issues. Experience supporting multiple business units or legal entities with varying accounting requirements. Personality and Interpersonal Skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Collaborative, positive, and solutions-oriented approach. Strong organizational skills with a focus on process documentation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
