Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Serves the residents as a member of the direct care teamDefines and maintains the standards of the Memory Care unitMonitors all aspects of patient care and conditionsUnderstands and reviews the facility's Healthcare Clinical Policies and Procedures and Safety GuidelineAssists with the admission of new residentsReviews care plans daily to ensure provision of appropriate careOversees the provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and general nursing services according to care plans and physician directionsRequired to be "on-call" as needed by facilityPerform general office functions related to the EHR systemOversees staff working in the Memory Care UnitIdentifies staff development and provides training to staff working in the Memory Care unitIn collaboration with the DON, evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniquesConducts in-service training and education programs for staff as needed and as related to Memory CareUnit Management/OtherOversees the cleanliness & maintenance of the community and memory care unitComplies with the requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or transfer of residents per established policies and proceduresFollows infection control guidelines and universal precautionsReports all hazardous conditions and equipment immediatelyMaintains confidentiality of all resident information and ensures resident privacyPromotes and supports the greatest possible degree of independence for residentsConfers with management and staff to discuss and resolve resident complaintsRelates to residents, family members, public and professionals appropriatelyReports any issues or problems that may arise to the AdministratorComplies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standardsEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.High school diploma or equivalent required.
