Meat Cutter

Role Overview The Meat Cutter handles meat products, performing tasks such as receiving, processing, cutting, trimming, packaging, weighing, pricing, and labeling to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Process and prepare meat in compliance with company policies and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and proper temperatures of work areas and storage units. Manage inventory, stock, and rotate products effectively to minimize shrink. Support sales through courteous customer service and promote a positive shopping experience. Assist other store locations when needed and supervise subordinates in achieving goals. Ensure safety, sanitation, and proper handling of equipment and products. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques. Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and operate relevant machinery. Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring climbing, reaching, and handling tools. Experience in retail meat preparation preferred. Environment & Other Details Work is conducted in a grocery store environment with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 90°F. The role requires initiative, safety awareness, and productivity, primarily during first shift hours.
