Part-Time Public Safety Officer

Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for two (2) Part-Time Public Safety Officer to work rotating shifts. The Museum requires the Security Department to be manned on a 24 hour, 365 days per year basis.

In this role you will:

• Safeguard museum collections and ensure the well-being of museum employees and visitors.
• Use all 5 senses to make observations of irregularities and document them in written reports.
• Patrol, on foot, the over 400,000 square foot building.
• Monitor 200 cameras in the dispatch office and serve as a resource for multiple departments via radio communication.

Qualifications that are preferred, but not required:

• 1 year previous security experience.
• Prior DAAT training or similar de-escalation and self-defense training.
• CPR, AED, and/or First Aid certification.
• Prior experience with Access Control systems like C-Cure or similar systems.
