Your day as a Warehouse Assistant As a Warehouse Assistant at HME Specialists, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our daily operations by efficiently receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing inventory. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure the accuracy and integrity of all incoming shipments, as you inspect and verify each for damage. You will be responsible for stocking and organizing inventory according to established procedures, while maintaining accurate records using our warehouse management systems. Additionally, you will assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits to uphold optimal inventory levels. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles will be part of your responsibilities, alongside maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA guidelines. You will report any discrepancies or safety concerns promptly and may also participate in special projects and other assigned duties to ensure smooth warehouse operations. What You Need To Be Successful To thrive as a Warehouse Assistant at HME Specialists, several essential skills and qualifications are necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, alongside previous warehouse or inventory experience, which will help you adapt quickly to our fast-paced environment. The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs is critical, as is the capacity to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Basic computer skills are required, enabling you to learn and navigate our inventory management systems effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure accuracy in handling inventory and maintaining a well-structured workspace. Reliability in attendance is vital, and your ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team will contribute to the overall success of our warehouse operations.
