Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a NC or compact RN license, with night shifts and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• 13-week contract in a hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required prior to start of clinical care
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process under the direction of a physician and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team
• Duties include assessing complex patient situations, identifying expected outcomes, and anticipating discharge needs for patients and families
• Communicates with patients and families using cultural competency and active listening to develop and update individualized care plans
• Promotes infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean hospital environment
• Annual competency assessments are required per documented checklist
