Job Description:

Top Shelf Cookies is seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Supervisor to join our team at our Dorchester location. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cookie bakery and shop. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of daily operations, including team management, customer service, and logistics. This position may also involve participation in outdoor events and organizing outgoing shipments and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

   • Supervise and lead a team of enthusiastic team members.

   • Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure a high level of performance.

   • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

2. Customer Service:

   • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.

   • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

 

1. Operational Management:

   • Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.

   • Assist with inventory management, including tracking and restocking supplies.

   • Manage cash register transactions and maintain accurate records.

   • Maintain a consistently clean and welcoming shop

   • Oversee upkeep of facility and equipment

 

1. Event Participation:

   • Participate in outdoor events, such as pop-up markets, festivals, and fairs, representing Top Shelf Cookies.

   • Set up and operate event booths, showcasing our products and brand.

2. Logistics and Deliveries:

   • Coordinate outgoing shipments and deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

   • Maintain records of deliveries and assist with packaging and labeling.

Requirements:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

• Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional evenings.

• Must have a valid driver's license if involved in deliveries.
