Responsibilities Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant Location/work environment: In facility Reporting structure: Reporting to Director of Rehab As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. You are a healer and a helper, equally adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual. Your goal is to execute a program that restores, reinforces, and enhances their physical abilities and independence. You're adaptable to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of the work and the settings. You collaborate with peers and make referrals to help your patient get the care they need to thrive. You put patients first, ensuring patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
