- # Sales Engineer - Industrial AutomationApplylocations: Columbia, SCtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R261664Make a difference.As a Sales Engineer - Industrial Auto**mation, you will support the sales of high-tech automation and control products and work with branch personnel to identify opportunities for products to satisfy customer needs.****In this role you will:*** **Specify products to meet customer requirements and needs*** **Recommend inventory of automation p**roducts* Inform sales staff and customers of new developments in automation and related products technology* Provide technical services to customers for the operation and maintenance of automation equipment* Provide technical support of automation and control products to customers and Company personnel and new product updatesWhat you bring to the table:* Minimum 1 year of experience required in progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience* 2 year degree required, Technical college or equivalent* 6+ years experience preferred* Knowledge of high-tech automation and control products* Knowledge of engineering principles related to customer automation products* Knowledge of suppliers' automation products* Oral and written communication skills* Interpersonal, organizational and team building skills* Ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needs* Ability to clearly present complex solutions to non-technical staff* Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts* Extensive travel required**Compensation Details:** The expected rate of pay for this position is $90,000.00 - $109,000.00 annually. depending on experience. This role is also incentive-eligible, based on meeting specific and relative business metrics.This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes.
