As a highly skilled Medical Assistant Site Lead at MyCHN, a nonprofit healthcare leader, you will play a vital role in our organization, which boasts over 100 providers across 15+ locations in the Greater Houston and Gulf Coast area. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your clinical skills, lead a passionate team, and contribute to improving the health of underserved communities.
What You'll Do:
- Lead daily huddles & mentor Medical Assistants
- Manage patient flow & ensure clinic readiness
- Perform advanced clinical tasks (labs, EKGs, injections, etc.)
- Oversee vaccine programs, supply orders & chart audits
- Support staff, resolve issues, and enhance patient experience
- Take vitals & prepare patients for exams
- Assist with labs, procedures, and follow-ups
- Maintain organized records and stocked rooms
- Deliver whole-person care with enthusiasm!
What You'll Need:
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification
- Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- CPR/BLS Certified
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish? That's a big plus!
- Strong clinical skills & leadership experience
- Experience in Women's Health, Pediatrics, or Chronic Care
- Excellent communication & multitasking abilities
- A passion for quality care and team success
- Certification with the national registry as a Medical Assistant - REQUIRED
- No certification? 1-2 years of experience working under the supervision of a Medical Physician
