La Verne's Touch LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Lead Direct Support Professional (Lead DSP) to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to become a key leader within a small, high-quality Adult Residential Facility supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This is more than a caregiving position. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company, take ownership of daily operations, and help us provide exceptional care to the individuals we support.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Assist consumers with activities of daily living including hygiene, meal preparation, medication assistance, community integration, and transportation.
- Prepare healthy meals and maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment.
- Complete daily documentation and ensure all records are accurate and timely.
- Assist consumers in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Program Plans (IPP).
- Maintain compliance with Community Care Licensing and Regional Center regulations.
- Help organize household supplies and maintain inventory.
- Assist with staff orientation, mentoring, and ongoing training.
- Support the Licensee and Administrator with administrative tasks and quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a positive role model for staff while helping build a culture of professionalism, accountability, and compassion.
Minimum Qualifications (Please Do Not Apply Unless You Meet These Requirements)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Adult Residential Facility (ARF), Group Home, ICF, Behavioral Home, or similar residential setting.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- Valid California Driver License with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan and pre-employment screening.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current DSP Year 1 & Year 2 Certifications
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- CPI or behavioral intervention training
- Medication administration experience
- Experience with Community Care Licensing and Regional Center documentation
Preferred:
Registered Behavioral Technician
Lead Experience in a ARF
