Pharmacist

We're looking for an experienced pharmacist to join a high-volume, fast-paced independent pharmacy. This role requires keen attention to detail, extensive knowledge of pharmacy compliance, and the ability to manage a large team. Key Responsibilities Accurately and safely dispense prescription medications to patients and healthcare professionals, following all legal and ethical guidelines Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to assess appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness—evaluating medical histories, allergies, and potential drug interactions Provide clear, thorough instructions to patients on proper medication usage, side effects, and precautions; offer guidance on OTC products, healthy lifestyles, and self-care Serve as a trusted resource for healthcare professionals and patients, delivering accurate, up-to-date drug information on interactions, dosages, adverse effects, and therapeutic alternatives Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations including inventory management, medication storage, and prescription processing Lead, mentor, and manage a large team of pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to standard operating procedures Communicate directly with medical professionals regarding patients and their medication regimens Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations; maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard controlled substances per established protocols Monitor and report adverse drug events and medication errors; participate in medication safety initiatives and quality assurance programs including medication use evaluations and performance improvement activities Stay current on the latest advancements in pharmacy practice through continuing education, professional development, and relevant conferences or seminars Maintain all necessary certifications, training, and licensure Administer immunizations and coordinate off-site clinic events Qualifications & Requirements Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA) Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Keen attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Proficiency with pharmacy software systems for order entry and medication verification Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $68.00 – $71.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr Senior Helpers
