Description

• Implement speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care approaches.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care.
• Keep accurate and timely documentation in accordance with federal, state, and organizational standards.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to obtaining ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification expected within the first month of employment.
