Building Inspector Beaver Dam, WI, US Kunkel Engineering Group a Geo-Logic Associates Company is currently seeking talented, experienced Building Inspectors to support areas of Dodge, Green Lake, Washington, and Waupaca Counties. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of assignments. RESPONSIBILITIES Read and examine plans and specifications when required. Perform field inspections during various stages of construction. Report violations and maintain files/records. Perform other related duties as required. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions. Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, contractors, the general public, governmental entities, and other clientele. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills Knowledge of municipal zoning ordinances and codes Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE State of WI Commercial Building Inspector certification State of WI UDC Construction, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical certification Minimum of 3 Years of experience in municipal code inspections Knowledge or experience with Zoning Administration (not required) High School or Equivalent Good Driving Record & valid WI driver’s license CANDIDATE ALSO MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA Be eligible to work in the United States Possess a valid driver’s license Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen COMPENSATION Competitive salary and benefits package.
