Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical

Schedule:
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- Must possess an active State license by start of the assignment
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years experience in pre/postoperative nursing, specifically with abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains
- Familiarity with vital signs machines, IV & PCA pumps, EMR charting, and medication dispensing systems

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, and manage intravenous therapy
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and recovery processes

Compliance / Notes:
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health appointment on Friday
- Dress Code: Regular nursing uniforms
