Senior Digital Tagging & Data Layer Engineer (Tealium Required)

We’re looking for a hands‑on Tealium expert to own and evolve our digital data collection strategy across Royal Caribbean Group’s ecosystem. This role is critical in ensuring we have clean, reliable, and actionable data powering our marketing, analytics, and product initiatives. If you’re not deeply experienced with Tealium iQ and EventStream , this role likely won’t be the right fit — we’re specifically seeking someone who can hit the ground running and lead in this space. What You’ll Do Own the end‑to‑end administration of Tealium iQ and EventStream (environments, governance, permissions, workflows) Build, configure, and deploy tags, pixels, and event tracking to support marketing, analytics, and product teams Manage and continuously improve the enterprise Data Layer , ensuring accuracy, scalability, and consistency Partner closely with Digital Product and Media teams to ensure proper tracking, audience creation, and campaign measurement Translate business and marketing needs into clear technical tagging requirements Act as the go‑to expert for data availability within Tealium and guide stakeholders on how to leverage it Proactively identify gaps in tracking and recommend improvements to data collection strategy Document tagging frameworks, data schemas, and implementation standards Ensure all tagging aligns with privacy, consent, and governance requirements What We’re Looking For 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Tealium iQ and EventStream (required — not optional) Proven experience building and maintaining scalable Data Layers Familiarity with tools like Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target , and media platforms (Google, Meta, Floodlight, etc.) Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to data accuracy and detail Experience working in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments Solid understanding of data privacy and consent frameworks Why This Role Matters This role sits at the center of how we understand and optimize our digital experiences.
