Branch Manager

Overview R10093300 Branch Manager – open position located in Clarksville, TN. The role focuses on the sales and distribution of industrial gases and related hard goods. Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals. Promote sales, deliver excellent customer service, nurture inventory levels, and balance expenses through purchase support. Foster facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards, empower team members in providing efficient customer service, maintain good housekeeping, and harmonize overall operational efficiency. Provide professional customer service for internal and external customers and call‑in product, pricing, and technical inquiries. Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities. Support accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits. Maintain the accuracy of back‑order, open‑order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports. Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch. Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety. Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates. Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial capacity, preferably in a similar retail industrial sales environment. Comfortable navigating and interpreting safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent organizational flow and detail orientation, with the ability to work productively in a fast‑paced environment. A natural ability to foster a team‑oriented culture and build meaningful connections with a diverse group of people. Valid employment authorization in the U.S. and no current or future need for visa sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications 5 or more years of experience in the sales and distribution of industrial gases, welding supplies, or similar industrial products. Proven retail sales and customer service focus. Familiarity with welding applications and equipment, or the technical curiosity to become an expert in the product line. Prior SAP experience.
