We are looking for a full-time, linehaul company driver that will be based out of our Carson, CA location. Rate of Pay: $30.00 to $32.00. Shift starts at 2330 (11:30pm) Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for safely operating a company vehicle in the transportation of FAK over the road, while verifying loads for accuracy.
- Adheres to company, federal, state, and local laws, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch team to ensure freight is delivered safely and on-time.
- Ability to work with assigned routes and ability to adapt should there be a change in route.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on vehicles, or freight and report any issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT safety regulations, company policies and procedures.
- Safely and efficiently operate lift equipment, for loading and unloading duties.
- Ability to identify locations accurately and update trip status in Geotab or freight imaging in Acordex.
- Complete and verify all required backup paperwork (Bills, HAZMAT, POD, etc.) are in order and dually delivered to the right personnel member, whether shipper, consignee, or Energy agent.
Competencies
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Must be 23 years of age.
- Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Ability to drive at night.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
- No DUIs or DWIs within the last 5 years.
- No traffic violation for within the last 3 years.
- Acceptable accident history.
- Dependability and ability to follow directions.
