Paralegal

About the Job Talis Group's company client is a Lexington Law firm hiring a Paralegal/ Legal Assistant to support their insurance defense practice group. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, trial preparation, court filings, document production, drafting and preparation oflegal documents and correspondence, and experience with depositions. Assist attorneys with reviewing and analyzing documents and conveying routine legal information under supervision. This position is full-time Monday-Friday, on-site, with a full benefits package. Salary range for this position is $62,000-$68,000. Highlighted Duties: Prepares correspondence, draft pleadings, contracts, trial binders, etc. related to the specific Practice Group. Assists in the management of litigation cases and/or large projects, including extensive document organization, document retrieval, document production, preparing for depositions, preparing deposition exhibits, digesting deposition transcripts and preparing trial exhibits. Communicates with clients via phone and email. Schedules appointments, organizes documents, transcribes and proofs legal documents. Assists with billing and works directly with accounting. Maintains client confidentiality. Ensures proper indexing and filing of legal documents using litigation software support systems or other methods as needed or required. Performs other miscellaneous and administrative job-related duties as assigned. Highlighted Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of related litigation experience from case onset/pre-trial through trial and post-trial activities. Experience with MS Office, as well as legal document management software. Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data.
