Senior Engineering Technician

Catalent seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to maintain and repair bioprocess equipment at its FDA-licensed gene therapy manufacturing facility in Maryland. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment installation, and documentation within a GMP-regulated environment supporting clinical and commercial production.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair bioprocess equipment including fermenters, bioreactors, centrifuges, and chromatography systems
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and manage work orders within CMMS
• Develop and update engineering documentation, job aids, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors on equipment maintenance, calibrations, and repairs
• Analyze equipment failures and develop engineering solutions for continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years GMP/biopharmaceutical maintenance or engineering experience
• Cleanroom or FDA-regulated industry experience required
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance capabilities
• Automation and controls operation, repair, and maintenance preferred
• Ability to lift 40 lbs, work on ladders, and stand for extended periods
• Basic math and computer skills; strong written and verbal communication

Compensation: $38.46 - $52.88 hourly plus shift differential and annual bonus, when eligible
