Director, Internal CommunicationsMars Global Services (MGS) is the global shared services and digital transformation organization for Mars, responsible for delivering enterprise capabilities that enable the business to operate more effectively, consistently, and at scale. MGS provides services across areas including Digital Technologies, Finance, Commercial, People & Organization (HR), and R&D Solutions, leveraging expertise, technology, and global scale to support Mars segments, brands, and regions around the world.The Director, Internal Communications is responsible for shaping and delivering strategic communications that inspire, engage, and connect Associates to the Mars Global Services vision, priorities, and transformation agenda. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the MGS Leadership Team, translating complex business and organizational changes into clear, compelling narratives that drive understanding, alignment, and action.The Director will lead communications across MGS, supporting enterprise initiatives, business transformations, organizational change communications, and visible leadership strategy and execution.Strategic Communications LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with MGS priorities and the MGS 2030 Vision.Shape executive narratives that connect Associates to business strategy, transformation programs, and organizational priorities.Ensure communications reinforce the MGS vision, six strategic shifts, and three foundational pillars.Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on communication approaches, messaging, stakeholder engagement, and change readiness.Transformation & Change CommunicationsLead communications for large-scale business and organizational transformations.Design communication strategies that build awareness, understanding, commitment, and adoption.Develop integrated communication campaigns that support new ways of working and drive behavioral change.Partner with business leaders, HR, Digital Technologies, and transformation teams to ensure cohesive messaging across initiatives.Executive & Leadership CommunicationsServe as lead communications advisor to the President of MGS and other senior executives.Create keynote presentations, town hall content, leadership messaging, videos, talking points, and executive communications.Support leadership events, MGS town halls, global broadcasts, and leadership forums.Ensure senior leaders are equipped to communicate consistently and effectively across geographies and functions.Associate EngagementDevelop and lead communications campaigns that bring our Associates closer to our brands and businesses – creating awareness, connection, and inspiration.Develop programs that strengthen Associate connection the broader Mars Purpose, and MGS vision and business priorities.Drive storytelling that celebrates impact, innovation, collaboration, and transformation across the organization.Lead communication efforts related to engagement surveys, recognition efforts, culture initiatives, and major organizational milestones.Content, Channels & Communications OperationsOversee content strategy across enterprise communications channels, including organizational announcements, internal social media, intranet, townhalls, senior leader connects, among others.Ensure communication channels are effective, measurable, and aligned to Associate needs.Establish governance, editorial calendars, communication standards, and measurement frameworks.Leverage emerging technologies and AI-enabled communications practices to improve reach, personalization, and effectiveness.Team & Agency LeadershipManage external agency relationships and communication vendors.Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for communications programs.Foster a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous learning.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree required15+ years' experience in communications and change management in agency or in-house.Experience leading global change communications programs in a multi-layered and matrixed environment.Experience building trust and managing relationships with senior leadership.Exceptional writing and editing skills, strong presentation capabilities.Passion for technology and experience leveraging AI/GenAI in responsible ways that drive great, inspiring content.Understanding of latest trends, data and measurement in internal communications.Ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced org and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong strategic agility and ability to apply enterprise-wide thinkingDrive for results with strong prioritization and project management skillsConfidence to share new ideas and ways of workingStrong influencer and relationship-builder.What can you expect from Mars?Work with over 150,000 diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting: USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
