Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department in Plainsboro, NJ. This is a full-time 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. shift opportunity. Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for treating patients with any medical problems that cannot wait to be seen by their regular doctor, as well as severe and life‑threatening illnesses and injuries. You will establish a therapeutic relationship and an individualized plan of care with the patient for a defined period of time, and communicate that plan to collaborative partners. You will be accountable for planning, delivering, coordinating, evaluating, and modifying the patient’s care for that defined period, and for effectively transitioning that plan with attention to continuity across shifts and settings of care. Emergency nurses provide a wide range of care, including foley insertions, assistance with chest tube and central line insertions, cardiac arrests, blood transfusions, medication administration, orthopedic splinting, laceration repair, prep for the operating room, STEMI (MI) care, therapeutic hypothermia, and intravenous insertion, among others.
