Nurse Educator

Farmstead Living is hiring an RN who will educate, train, evaluate, and coach new and existing CNAs & Caregivers in the matter of resident care, policies, and procedures. The Nurse Educator is vital in starting each Caregiver off on the right foot. This is a full-time position with flexible hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate trainee schedules. The pay range is $32–$42 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as an RN
• Experience in an Assisted Living community is preferred, but not required
• Experience as a trainer or clinical educator is preferred, but not required
• Able to work well with care staff, other nurses, residents, and families
• Excellent communication skills
• Patient, positive and supportive leader

Responsibilities:

• Be a part of the onboarding team at Farmstead Living, including new hire orientation, educate, supervise, and evaluate.
• Provide classroom and hands-on training to CNAs and Caregivers.
• Sign off on adequately performed cares, tasks, and competencies.
• Educate staff on Assisted Living procedures and policies.
• Assure that medication administration procedures are followed properly and discuss any needed corrections, errors, or training opportunities with staff.
• Provides input and/or performs annual evaluations for caregiver staff.
