Registered Nurse Orthopedic

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a 29-bed orthopedic unit providing care from adulthood through geriatrics. Candidates will work night shifts, including every other weekend, and must have travel experience, charge RN background, and EPIC EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric orthopedic patients.
• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekend shifts.
• Float across various campuses as needed and fulfill Charge RN duties when required.
• Monitor telemetry and assist with physical therapy activities on the unit.
• Ensure compliance with all travel and licensure requirements, including EMR and EKG assessments.
• Document patient care accurately and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid, active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, with prior travel and charge RN experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC EMR system and pass the EKG competency exam.
• Hold current BLS certification.
• Experience working in a fast-paced orthopedic or medical-surgical setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to floating across multiple campuses.
