Special Events and Community Relations Manager

Description Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1920, is an independent coeducational day school serving students from age 2 to Grade8 on two campuses. Special Events and Community Relations Manager Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with the organizational goals and mission identity of PalmBeachDayAcademy. Manage volunteers. Lead the planning and implementation of all special events, including internal gatherings, fundraising and campaign events and community outreach events, ensuring flawless execution from concept to completion. Manage relationships with vendors, venues, and internal and external stakeholders to negotiate contracts, oversee logistics, and maintain high standards of quality and service. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including marketing and communications and admissions, to create cohesive event messaging, branding and promotional strategies. Stay current with industry trends to continuously enhance the guest experience and ensure events are innovative and engaging. Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, sponsors and vendors to maximize event impact and resources. Analyze event performance metrics and gather feedback to continuously improve future events and strategies. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in event management, with a portfolio of successful, large‑scale events. Proven track record of managing budgets, timelines, and logistics for complex events. Exceptional project management skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong history of volunteer management. Experience in the education or non‑profit sector a plus. Familiarity with event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Canva) and Microsoft Office Suite a plus. Proficiency or familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge a plus. Experience with social media and digital marketing tools to promote events and engage audiences (e.g., Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok) a plus.
