If you're ready to do meaningful work on hard problems, we'd love to have you join us.About the RoleWe are seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead the deployment and operation of autonomous construction technology on partner construction sites. This role is responsible for ensuring successful site launches, safe operational performance, and strong partner relationships from early planning through project completion.This role goes beyond traditional site operations—it includes the end-to-end customer operational experience, including hands-on customer training to operate autonomous systems and ongoing operations throughout the lifecycle of the project.The Site Operations Manager acts as the operational point of contact for the partner site project management, while coordinating closely with engineering, partnership, and operations teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality site operations.What You'll DoDeployment & Site OperationsContribute to early-stage site assessments and operational feasibility reviews.Define work plans including scope and operational requirements.Plan and execute deployments across multiple partner sitesCoordinate onsite launch readiness across engineering, fleet, and site teamsLead onsite setup, workflow validation, and safety alignmentOwn site launch and transition into steady-state operationsOversee daily operations to ensure safe, reliable performanceRun regular operational check-ins with partnersCapture field insights to inform product, engineering and operational improvementsManage project closeout, reporting, and post-deployment learningsCustomer Robot Operation ExperienceManage the customer lifecycle from launch through steady-state operations.Lead structured training and support for new partners, ensuring alignment on workflows, expectations, safety and success criteria.Translate complex robotic systems into clear, practical operating instructions.Certify that partner site management and operators are fully trained and confident prior to and after launch.Partner with internal stakeholders to incorporate field learnings into training materials and workflows.Build strong, trust-based relationships with partner teams to drive long-term success and adoption.What Success Looks LikeSafe, on-time deployment of autonomous operationsCustomer teams independently operating robotic systems with confidenceStrong onboarding experience with fast time-to-productivityHigh customer satisfaction driven by training, support, and engagementStrong partner relationships and clear communicationContinuous improvement of partner training and deployment processesWhat We're Looking ForRequiredExperience managing operations in construction or industrial environmentsExperience directing and coordinating heavy equipment operators and field crewsAbility to interpret site construction drawings, site maps, survey data, and grading plans to support earthwork operationsExperience leading cross-functional initiatives with engineering and field teamsExcellent communication and partner management skillsExperience training customers and customer support in an operational settingComfortable working in dynamic, fast-changing environmentsKnowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices, with experience ensuring compliance in the fieldWillingness to travel 50%+ and work from customer sitesLocated in surrounding Austin areaPreferredBackground in autonomy, robotics, or advanced construction technologyFamiliarity with construction tool Propeller AeroExperience launching new operational programs or deploymentsExperience building training programs, manuals, or playbooksFamiliarity with customer-facing tools or operational platformsWhy This Role MattersThis role is critical not just for deploying technology, but for ensuring customers can successfully adopt, operate, and scale it.
