Automotive TechnicianThis position entails layout, wiring, and mounting of hydraulics, electronics, and PTO's on custom truck bodies. Working with hand and power tools daily to fabricate equipment.ResponsibilitiesLayout and mount hydraulics, electronics, and PTO's on custom truck bodies.Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, and installation tasks.Troubleshoot and resolve issues during production.Essential SkillsSix months experience in heavy installation, preferably on vehicles.Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, electrical controls, and wiring.Ability to use basic math for machine setup and operation.Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.Additional Skills & QualificationsCapability to pick, push, and move objects up to 50 lbs.Physical ability to bend, twist, carry, work overhead, kneel, crouch, and climb.Must be able to stand on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes throughout the shift.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic work environment where you can develop your skills in mechanical assembly and installation. Employees will be exposed to a heavy industrial atmosphere including grease, oil, heat, humidity, and occasionally cramped or wet conditions. Physical requirements include climbing ladders and using creepers under chassis.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
