Eau Claire Chamber Educational Foundation Intern

Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time Reports to: Director of Education Position Requirements and Qualifications: Current student enrolled at UW–Eau Claire, UW–Stout, or Chippewa Valley Technical College. Must possess organizational skills, the ability to manage time and work with volunteers, and the ability to work with Chamber investors, committees, and staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working with Microsoft Office and ability to be a team player. Knowledge of social media & mass communications is preferred. Primary Responsibilities: Work with the Director of Education to assist with programs directly under or related to the foundation, including Leadership Eau Claire and Youth Leadership Eau Claire. Specific Duties Assist in planning and attending the monthly Youth Leadership Eau Claire & Leadership Eau Claire sessions and committee meetings. Previous experience in event planning & organization skills preferred, but not required. Assist with the progression of the Eau Claire Educational Foundation programming, including increasing community awareness and coordinating additional foundation events not related to Leadership Eau Claire or Youth Leadership Eau Claire. Assist in communicating with program participants (i.e., conducting surveys, sending emails/memos, sending thank you cards to program sponsors & program volunteers). Strong organizational skills are key to succeeding in this internship. Secondary Responsibilities: Operate office equipment, including computers, online programs, and Microsoft Office. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the program director or president of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. Wage and Benefits: The Chamber will assist the intern with earning college credit. Pay is $12 per hour with 10-15 hours per week. This internship runs from July 2026 to May 2027, with an overnight retreat opportunity in August. Flexible to the student’s school schedule, winter break, or any additional needed time off.
