Job Title: Molder in Training
Department: Molding
Shift :3rd -11"30 pm to 7:30 am
Pay rate : $20/hour

Job Summary

The Molder Trainee is enrolled in a structured training program designed to develop core skills required for the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of injection molding machines. Over the course of several weeks, trainees will learn machine procedures, safety protocols, maintenance practices, and quality control standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Week One Training Subjects:

• Material Identification
• Breaks and Time Clock Procedures
• Machine Safety Devices
• Bulk Pack Procedures
• QA Inspection Procedures
• Color Change Procedure
• Cavity Count Procedure
• Mold Preventative Maintenance (PM)
• Department Housekeeping
• Grinding Rejected Parts
• Reject Bag/Totes Disposal
• Material for Sale Containers
• Plug Outs Checking

Week Two Training Subjects:

• Board Shot Procedure
• Mold Protection
• Cavity Plugging Procedure
• Speed Lathe Safety
• Answering Bells
• Plugging Cavities
• Cycle Sheets and Cycle Times

Week Three Training Subjects:

• Cleaning Grinders
• Cleaning Blender Systems
• Cleaning Material Loaders
• Processing Rejects

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
No prior molding experience necessary; this is an entry-level training role.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic understanding of workplace tools and safety practices.

Communication Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication; English proficiency required.
