Location: 1 BREVARD COLLEGE DR,Brevard, NC, 28712-4283,United States Job Category: Staff Relocation Expense Covered: No Employee Type: PT Non-Exempt Required Degree: High school Manage Others: No Position Summary The library assistant provides part time (18 hours per week) clerical support for the Library and Experiential Learning Commons, works with library technology and processing, and provides friendly customer service at the service desk in J.A. Jones Library. Qualifications Some college preferred Experience with clerical and secretarial work required Library experience preferred Good word processing, spreadsheet, calendar, and database ability General knowledge of library processes and functions Strong verbal and written communication skills Time management and organizational ability Physical Requirements Sedentary position – negligible fore or ability to lift, carry, push or pull no more than 10 lbs Light work – exerts up to 20 lbs of force occasionally. Stooping, kneeling, reaching, repetitive motor actions Medium work – exerts from 10-25 lbs of force often.
