Senior Tax Associate

At this firm, progression is pretty easy to prove. Several of the current Partners started here as Senior Associates themselves. So if you’re an experienced Senior who wants to know there is somewhere to go next, you’re surrounded by people who have already made that move and can help you do the same. The firm is continuing to grow, particularly across its Trusts & Estates and HNW client base, and they’re looking for an experienced Senior Tax Associate or early Tax Manager to join the team. Trusts & Estates will make up at least 50% of your workload, but you won’t be boxed into a 100% specialist role. Your work will include: Trusts & Estates as a core part of your workload HNW individual returns, including 1040s Some business returns depending on your experience and interests Working directly with a Partner on more complex T&E matters The opportunity to shape your workload around your strengths as you progress You’ll probably be a good fit if you have: 3+ years of public accounting experience Experience at Senior level, or you’ve recently stepped into Manager An interest in continuing to develop technically while taking on more responsibility The culture is another big reason people stay. It has a very Midwest feel. Down to earth people, collaborative teams and very little ego. Turnover is low and plenty of people have built long careers here. They’ve also continued to improve flexibility. Outside of busy season, flexible Fridays now run throughout the year rather than just between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The firm invests heavily in its intern and graduate pipeline, so as you progress, you can start taking on more mentoring and development rather than your next step simply meaning more review work.
